About Meridian Widgets
Fourteen people, four machines, one product line we understand end to end.
How we started
Meridian Widgets opened in 2014 in a rented bay on Strada Fabricii, making replacement mounts for a single packaging-line integrator who could not get spares in under six weeks. The first order was 40 units. We now ship roughly 9,000 units a year to 60 customers across eleven EU countries.
How we work
Everything is machined and inspected in-house. We do not subcontract tolerance-critical operations, which is why our lead times are boring and predictable rather than fast on paper and slow in practice. Anodising is the one exception — it goes to a partner in Turda and comes back within three days.
Quality control is a full inspection of the first article and a sampled inspection of every batch thereafter, recorded against the batch number stamped on each unit. If a part fails in the field, that stamp tells us which bar of stock it came from.
